GROUNDWORKS AND LANDSCAPING

This Edwardian property required significant external groundworks including the laying of new drainage, removal and repositioning of manholes.

The existing swimming pool was extremely deep and accessed via unsightly silver steps.  We raised the depth of the pool to allow for small steps to be built in – making the pool more aesthetically pleasing against the back drop of the landscaped gardens.

We removed an old conservatory, excavated and prepared all ground works and built new walls to house the new orangery from Westbury Garden Rooms.

Around the pool and orangery we laid approximately 180 square metres of Indian stone patio without any visible drains.  We created steps to give depth and shape to the patio, swimming pool and orangery area and tied each area in with new edging and Edwardian rope stone around the flower beds.

We replaced all ground floor windows with handmade original box sash windows made by MPG Bespoke and we restored all casement sash windows on the upper floors of the house.  We also installed a new chimney and re-stoned the area we had been working to match the new chimney in with the old.

“To raise the level of our swimming pool and create 180 square metres of patio without any visible drains truly transformed our outside space.  Kevin and his team don’t find problems like many builders, they find solutions.  They just put their heads together and inspire and excite you with how they can deliver what you want.”  What more can you ask for?”
